2010 Southbrook Connect White VQA

Whiffs of lemon drops, white peaches and currants, with an undertone reminiscent of spring rain and wet stone. The palate replays these same elements with a framework of refreshing acidity, food-friendly residual sugar, and a clean finish.

4 stars – "This wine shows terroir, which is usually not a hallmark of the hybrid varieties, in this case Vidal. Peach, lemon drop with hints of stone, follows from the nose to the mouth leaving that sweet lemonade flavour behind on the finish, the acidity balances it off nicely. Bring on summer."
