L'armangia Il Giai Giovine Ignazio Moscato D'asti 2008, D.O.C.G., Piedmont, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: This tasty, frothy Moscato d’Asti is a unique treat. Alive with floral aromas and a touch of heady sweetness on the nose. The palate is brimming with cascades of candied fruit and fresh flowers, with a moderate sweetness rounded out by the effervescent texture. These traits, combined with the lower alcohol percentage (5%), makes it an ideal sipper as an intermezzo with sorbet, at the close of a meal or with a light dessert. My note: Lovely, lovely flavour: make yourself instantly happy with this lightly effervescent bubbly. Ripe peach, peach and apricot. The perfect aperitif. 135632 5% MS 750 mL $14.95 Score: 91/100.
