Creekside Estate Winery Reserve Chardonnay 2006, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Creekside’s reserve line is, well, reserved for the best wines of the vintage. After an extensive barrel selection process, the finished wines represent the cream of the crop. This Chardonnay was fermented with wild yeast and then matured for 10 months in French barriques (60% new). The result is an impeccably balanced wine with a wonderful core of apple and tropical fruit surrounded by a delightful toastiness. This impressive wine will reward 2-5 years in a cellar, or enjoy it tonight. My note: A lovely, full-bodied Chardonnay with aromas of ripe pear and green apple. 49593 13% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 87/100. December 5, 2009 Full Review
