Le Clos Jordanne Village Reserve Chardonnay 2007, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Le Clos Jordanne makes some of the Niagara’s most sought-after Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The talented Thomas Bachelder was honoured as Winemaker of the Year at the 2009 Ontario Wine Awards. An incredible value, the ’07 Village Reserve Chardonnay is once again stellar and a great addition to any holiday table. Look for aromas and flavours of ripe citrus fruit, rich peach, vanilla and hazelnut, all balanced by fresh acidity and leading to a very long finish. My note: Luxurious hazelnut-apricot-apple goodness: dripping with opulence yet it’s balanced and laser-focused. Canada’s benchmark Chardonnay: to paraphrase Trudeau, watch them! 33936 13.50% XD 750 mL $25.00 Score: 91/100. December 5, 2009 Full Review
