rated this wine as 92/100
with the following review:
The ripe red fruit on the nose which pulls through to the palate could lead one to believe this is a top Californian wine, however the thrilling tension between its mouthwatering acidity and fruit core is unmistakably Champagne. Fresh, with an appealing subtle toastiness, and a generous length. Enjoy now through 2019.
J. Lassalle Préférence Brut, Premier Cru Champagne, A.C., Champagne, France: Vintages Wine Panel: The lot number and disgorgement date may differ from the review below but non-vintage Champagnes are designed in a consistent house style. The NV Brut Premier Cru Preference is a brighter more focused wine than the Cachet d’Or. The wine exhibits notable purity and focus in a medium-bodied style, as attractive suggestions of pears, flowers, mint, spices and minerals emerge. The lot # 4271 is identified on the cork, and this bottle was disgorged on January 14, 2008. AG. My note: A toasty, tasty bubble with pleasant approachability. 27615 12% XD 750 mL $48.95 Score: 88/100. December 5, 2009 Full Review
