Domaine Martin Cairanne Unfiltered Grenache Syrah 2009, A.C., Côtes Du Rhône-Villages, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2010 Concours des Grands Vins de France de Mâcon. Deeply coloured Grenache/Syrah (65/ 35) with aromas of ripe black cherry, freshly crushed raspberry, dark chocolate and black pepper. Dry with exceptional aroma replays on the palate. The light tannins perfectly support the sweet fruit core. Medium full-bodied with a fairly long finish. Cellar it 2-4 years, or enjoy tonight. My note: A juicy black-fruited number with some pleasant bitterness on the finish. Deep, rich and concentrated. Good value for the money. Drink: 2011-2015. 223461 14% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 88/100.
