Darlene Myers CAPS Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I think this was the first Old Vine Shiraz I have ever tried, and it won me over. Gorgeous fruits and aromas of eucalyptus and spice. It was structured on the palate with good tannins and a hint of chocolate. It was balanced, fruity and spicy and I really like this wine. A wine I would definitely buy again.
Jason Solanki rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

2010 vintage. This is a big wine with aromas of ripe dark fruits, blueberry, violet and lavender. Lovely blueberry with hints of coffee and vanilla on the palate. Full-bodied. Drinkable now, but has enough tannic grip to let sit for another 2-3 years. Tasted May/2012.

Grant Burge Filsell Old Vine Shiraz 2008, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: A solid and delicious full-bodied red with meaty notes and dark fruit. The flavours persist on your palate and I like how they’ve woven in the oak subtly. This wine won a Gold Medal and the Trophy for Best Shiraz at the 2010 Perth Royal Wine Show.
