Natalie's Review

Jorio Umani Ronchi Montepulciano D'abruzzo 2007, D.O.C., Abruzzo, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Made with 100% Montepulciano grapes, this supple medium-bodied red is aged in Slovenian oak for 11 months. An exceptionally food-friendly wine and a terrific value to boot, it typically features bright plum, cherry and raspberry fruit as well as notes of dark chocolate, vanilla and earth. Bright acidity and fine tannins hold it all together. My note: Simple and delicious with full-bodied flavors of mocha and black plum. Supple and mouth-watering. Terrific. 134577 14% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 88/100. November 7, 2009  Full Review
