Ant Moore Pinot Noir 2009, Central Otago, South Island, New Zealand: Vintages Wine Panel: Ant Moore isn’t a fanciful moniker; it’s the real name of the owner/winemaker. Australian-born Moore controls every aspect of the wine-making, from the vineyards to bottling the finished wines. Complex and aromatic Otago Pinot with aromas of spring flowers, cherry, plum, earth and vanilla. Dry with a wonderful balance between the fruit, acidity and moderate tannins. Good ageing potential (3-5+ years). My note: Savory dark cherry flavour with some dark spices. Good richness on the palate with balancing acidity. Drink: 2011-2015. 220657 13.50% XD 750 mL $24.95 Score: 89/100. April 16, 2011 Full Review
