Château Saint-André Corbin Vign. Jean-Bernard Saby & Fils Merlot 2008, A.C., St-Georges-St-Émilion, Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2010 Concours Général Agricole in Paris. This elegant Merlot-based wine features aromas and flavours of black cherry, mint, anise and menthol. Dry, with lots of fruit up front, in synch with balanced acidity and ripe tannins. Age it for up to 10 years. My note: Mocha-toasty oak on the nose with black fruit and smoke. Very New World style of a merlot-cabernet blend. Full-bodied and smooth. Terrific for dinner parties. Drink: 2011-2016. 43810 13% XD 750 mL $21.95 Score: 90/100. April 16, 2011 Full Review
