Domaine Gille Pinot Noir 2008, A.C., Côtes De Nuits-Villages, Burgundy, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Translucent ruby in the glass. The nose offers immediate notes of dark cherry followed by beetroot, earth and floral. The palate is dry, with a lively acidity, great fruit intensity throughout, and a balancing oak character that keeps the whole package deliciously in sync. My note: Alluring aromas of black cherry, violet and truffle on the nose, tart red fruit on the palate. Medium-bodied and smooth. A lovely wine for the money. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Drink: 2011-2016. 210864 13% D 750 mL $24.95 Score: 90/100. April 2, 2011 Full Review
