Darlene Myers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This ancient vine Zinfandel from Cline is a big wine. Rick dark color in the glass and very aromatic. I detected aromas of chocolate and a bit of coffee. In the mouth bold dark berries and vanilla toasted oak. Great wine.
Mark Cochrane Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I have tried Cline Zinfandel before and it was nice but it didn't impress me. However, this Ancient Vine Zinfandel is really quite good. It's has a dark rich red colour with jammy aromas and flavours of dark berries, vanilla and a bit of chocolate really standout. This Zin has a nice long dark berry finish with some vanilla at the end. Very impressive.
Vera Czerny rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Another rich, concentrated Zinfandel that is worth to try! Bright ruby red color and great aroma of ripe dark fruit, dark cherries and chocolate. On the palate really smooth, pleasant fruit bomb, with soft tannins and big body. Pleasant, bittersweet chocolate finish.

Bella Mcdowell rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A nose of dark berries with a hint of coffee. A mouthful of strawberries, cherries and dark chocolate with a smooth, peppery finish. This is a solid Zin for the price...can easily be found for around $11-14.

Natalie's Review

Cline Cellars Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2009, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: The 2009 Ancient Vines Zinfandel is awash in raspberry, blackberry, white pepper and spice notes, along with complexity-building coffee and chocolate characteristics. Aged in new and seasoned American oak, imbuing this wine with a subtle vanilla quality that nicely complements the focused fruit notes. My note: Zinmasters! These folks know how to make zinfandel blind-folded. Classic aromas of blackberry and blueberry. Full-bodied and smooth. Drink: 2011-2016. 719211 15% XD 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 92/100.
