Henry Of Pelham Gamay 2009, V.Q.A., Short Hills Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Medium purple-hued ruby. Deep, brooding notes of earth, woodsmoke, chocolate cake, wild cherry, and plum preserves. Dry and medium bodied, with earthy character to the fruit on the mid-palate, and a rush of acidity providing balance. Ripe, youthful tannins provide structure. Hold this for 1-2 years. My note: Straight-up quaffer with tasty red fruit notes. Smooth and medium-bodied. One to enjoy now. Drink: 2011-2013. 291112 13% XD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 87/100. April 2, 2011 Full Review
