Domaine Gueugnon-Remond Grande Réserve Mâcon-Charnay Chardonnay 2008, A.C., Mâcon-Charnay-Lès-Mâcon, Burgundy, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Apple, hazelnut and citrus on the nose. Dry, with creamy texture, and mouthwatering echoes of apple, citrus and oak. Zesty acidity rounds out a thoroughly satisfying experience. My note : A stunning chardonnay for the money! Lovely aromas of green apple, peach, oak and butter. Rich but balanced. Glorious change of pace for anyone who’d like to try the French style of chardonnay. Drink: 2011-2016. 220889 13% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 91/100. April 2, 2011 Full Review
