St. Francis Winery & Vineyards Chardonnay 2007, Sonoma County, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: This stylish Chardonnay is mostly sourced from the winery’s estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Aged in both French and American oak, it’s bursting with melon, citrus and vanilla aromas. It’s dry, full-bodied with a round creamy texture, rich fruit, balanced acidity and well-integrated oak leading to a lengthy finish. My note: Lovely balance: buttery goodness without being too heavy. Aromas of apple, hazelnut and freshly baked bread. Warm and inviting. 317131 14.50% D 750 mL $19.95 Score: 91/100. November 7, 2009 Full Review
