Gaja Sito Moresco Nebbiolo 2008, D.O.C., Langhe, Piedmont, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Of all the Piedmontese DOCs, Langhe is the most liberal in terms of permitted grape varieties and allowable winemaking techniques. It is the place where superstars such as Angelo Gaja go to push the boundaries. This Nebbiolo, Cabernet and Merlot blend produces an elegant, balanced wine that can be enjoyed now. It will also easily reward another 5-7 years in the cellar. My note: Superbly made, even if it’s over-priced. Elegant, balanced with exotic layers of flavour. Everything comes together without any one element dominating. Long finish. Drink: 2011-2018. 976043 13% XD 750 mL $53.95 Score: 91/100. March 19, 2011 Full Review
