Natalie's Review

Bodega Atamisque Catalpa Malbec 2008, Tupungato, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: The Atamisque is an emblematic flower of the Uco Valley, where this great-value Malbec is crafted. With a ripe raspberry and blackberry nose, this wine is packed with red berries and black fruit, along with cedar spice and notes of smoked meat. Medium-full bodied, with a rich texture and a long, juicy finish. My note: Savoury, rich with blueberry and blackberry aromas. Full-bodied and smooth with some violets and coffee on the finish. The grapes come from 70-year-old vines at an altitude of 4,430 feet. Drink: 2011-2115. 194126 14.20% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 88/100. March 19, 2011  Full Review
