Santa Barbara Wine Company Pinot Noir 2009, Santa Barbara, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: Sourced exclusively from the winery’s North Canyon vineyard, which is located along the Santa Maria Bench and open to the cooling effects of the Pacific wines. This is prime Pinot Noir territory. The nose is layered and expressive with strawberry, cherry, vanilla and earth. Dry, fruity balanced and with a zesty acidity on the palate. The finish is long and succulent. My note: Lovely, seductive plush fruit: fleshy berries with a satin texture. Medium- to full-bodied with lots of layers of pleasure. Balanced and satisfying with a long finish. Drink: 2011-2015. 194332 14.50% D 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. March 19, 2011 Full Review
