Château Haut-Plaisance Michel Coudroy, Prop. Merlot Blend 2003, A.C., Montagne Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2005 Concours Général Agricole Paris. Hitting its prime drinking window, this 2003 Bordeaux features aromas of bakery fruit, plum, cedar, vanilla and mocha. Dry with mature fruit and virtually resolved tannins, this delicious, well-priced claret. My note: Pleasingly tart dark cherries with some dark spices and a lick of smoke. Juicy and medium-bodied with good balance. 138784 13% XD 750 mL $23.95 Score: 88/100. October 10, 2009 Full Review
