Cline Cellars Los Carneros Syrah 2006, Carneros, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: Deep ruby in the glass. Rich fruit on the nose, with plum, spice, cherry, blackberry, cinnamon and leather. The palate is dry, medium-full bodied with great depth, structure, spice, and tons of rich, delicious fruit. My note: I had to look twice at the price to ensure it wasn’t a typo: what a deal! These folks may be known for their zinfandel, but I love their syrah! Rich and dark with juicy dark berries, bacon and plush texture. Full-bodied with a lovely long finish. I can’t imagine a better wine for a barbecue. Drink: 2011-2015. 955435 14.50% XD 750 mL $17.95 Score: 90/100. March 5, 2011 Full Review
