Strewn Terroir Merlot 2006, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Strewn’s Terroir line of wines are made from only the highest-quality grapes, and only produced in select outstanding years. This is an intense and flavourful Merlot with notes of blackberry, dark cherry, and earth, with an herbal undertone that adds a sense of depth and complexity to the nose and palate. This nuanced Merlot will pair easily. My note: Tangy blueberries and mouth-watering purple plums. I admire the effort here as it’s tough to ripen a merlot in a cool climate. Juicy and tasty. Drink: 2011-2014. 225763 12.70% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 87/100. March 5, 2011 Full Review
