Sileni Estates Selection Pinot Gris 2009, Hawke's Bay, North Island, New Zealand: Vintages Wine Panel: The 2009 vintage from south of the equator is starting to arrive. This fresh Pinot Gris has a noticeable peach/pink color from skin contact with the grapes. The nose is aromatic with melon, peach, floral and mineral notes. It’s dry, medium bodied with a juicy, round texture, ripe peach and tropical melon fruit flavors, well-balanced medium acidity and a medium finish. This wine finds the middle ground between the famous versions from Alsace and northern Italy. Great value. My note: White grapefruit, lime and white peach. Zesty and mouth-watering. 32292 12.50% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 88/100. September 26, 2009 Full Review
