Tawse Winery Inc. Sketches Of Niagara Chardonnay 2007, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Quite astounding for the price, this very classy Chardonnay shows that attention to detail is as equally important in Tawse’s second label as it is in their first. Creamy oak, ripe golden apples and tropical fruit aromas greet the nose. It’s dry, medium full-bodied with a charming round texture, plenty of ripe yellow fruit, butterscotch, baking spices and hazelnut notes leading to a long spicy finish. Delicious now but should evolve over the next 3-5 years. My note: Hazelnut, buttery and full-bodied. Rich and layered with pear slices. 89037 13% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100.
