Quinta Das Setencostas 2007, D.O.C., Alenquer, Portugal: Vintages Wine Panel: In Portugal’s lovely Estremadura region, 25 kilometers from the coast of the Atlantic, you’ll find the Alenquer zone: a scenic landscape teeming with wildlife as well as olive, grain and tobacco farms – and of course, vineyards. Made from local grape varieties, this unique, exotic wine bursts with aromas of dark berry fruit, cinnamon and chocolate, all of which echo beautifully on the palate. An excellent choice. My note: A simple and tasty red with full-bodied goodness and flavors of blackberries and plums with some pepper. 50930 13% XD 750 mL $12.95 Score: 86/100. September 12, 2009 Full Review
