Domaine De Saint Guilhem Renaissance Négrette Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah 2003, A.C., Fronton, Southwest, France: Vintages Wine Panel: This wine was a Gold Medal winner at the Concours des Vins du Sud-Ouest 2005 in Toulouse. A unique blend of the local rare grape Négrette with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, this generous wine is deep and dense with ripe black cherry fruit as well as smoke and spice notes. My note: Black-as-night red with big black fruit, oak and tannins. Full-bodied, a big whacker. Decants for 16 hours, okay two-three hours ought to take out argumentative side of the wine.
