Cuvée Tableau Les Vignerons De Tavel Syrah Rosé 2008, A.C., Tavel, Rhône, France: Vintages Wine Panel: This Tavel rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre plus the white grapes Clairette, Bourboulenc and Picpoul. Electric pink color. Attractive aromas of strawberry/rhubarb, orange peel, citrus, mineral, and pear drops. Dry and juicy-fruity, with good crisp acids bringing it into balance. Enjoy this fine Tavel with pan-fried freshwater fish. My note: I’m a huge fan of Tavel for rose. I know it’s going to be great if it comes from this region in the Rhone Valley. Full-bodied with miraculously ripe notes of strawberries and raspberries. Fresh and lively like the first day of spring. 117309 13.50% D 750 mL $18.95 Score: 92/100. August 29, 2009 Favorite Rosé.
