Natalie's Review

Maison Coquard Clochemerle Christophe Coquard Gamay (Beaujolais) 2007, A.C., BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES, Burgundy, France: Vintages Wine Panel: This approachable, deeply colored Beaujolais is speckled with notes of peppery black fruit and mineral character, with sweet sherry and cherry flavors on the palate. Medium full-bodied, it has a crisp, clean finish. My note: Such a pretty, bright, happy wine! Light-bodied with polished tannins: great transitional wine if you’re looking to move from white to red. Juicy field strawberries and raspberries. Lovely. Closed with a screwcap. 129122 12.30% D 750 mL  $13.95 Score: 87/100. August 1, 2009  Full Review
