Vignamaggio Suhaili Syrah 2006, I.G.T., Salento, Puglia, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: An intriguing take on Syrah from Puglia. Offers complex nuances of wild raspberry, black pepper, chestnut and leather, all nicely draped in silky tannins. Medium-bodied and well-balanced with a long, spicy finish. My note: Purple plums, coffee and dark chocolate welcome you into this wine and layers of flavor keep you floating to the bottom of the bottle where you will sit and stare regretfully until someone opens another bottle. 121038 14% XD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 88/100.
