Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pretty good value for the price. Aromas of jammy blueberry, vanilla, and a hint of oak. Medium bodied with medium tannins and lower acidity. Lots of ripe and cooked fruit on the palate and a bit of smoke and oak on the finish. Enjoy with ribs or pulled pork.
Greg Beauchamp rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Ok for price . Buy on sale !
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A very mellow Merlot with aromas of plum, blackberry, and milk chocolate. The aromas carry through to the taste. Medium acidity and a dash of rounded tannins add some structure. The tannins show a little more on the finish. A nice affordable 'house wine' that pairs well with most red meats and makes a great sipper as well.
Heather Wall rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Cheap and cheerful! Succulent black plum, chocolate, vanilla extract and strawberry tart on the nose. The acidity is medium+ with some grainy tannins. Fleshy black plum repeats on the palate with a shortpeppered cherry finish. A true price performer for everyday easy drinking red. Great hamburger wine.

Barefoot Merlot c'est une coupe de framboises et de mures recouverte de chocolat, tout en rondeur. Un vin plaisir pour un grillade de boeuf,un poulet roti, des pates bolognaises, et des desserts a base de fruit frais.
