Bodega Catena Zapata Chardonnay 2007, Mendoza, Argentina: Lovely depth and complexity with aromas of ripe tree fruit, orange peel, butterscotch and vanilla spice. Full-bodied with a pleasingly long finish. This wine was barrel fermented and then aged in French oak for 9 months. Batonnage (stirring the lees) regularly provides more richness and creaminess to its texture. Available in the November 7, 2009 Vintages release, though you may find it elsewhere before then. 918805 14% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 92/100. June 12, 2009 Full Review
