Bodega Catena Zapata Alta Chardonnay 2007, Mendoza, Argentina: Gorgeously rich and concentrated, this Chardonnay has great minerality, length and depth. Lovely aromas comingle: ripe peaches, green apple, butter and vanilla smoke in the background. Full-bodied, generous and elegant. This wine was made from a Dijon Chardonnay clone, was barrel fermented and then aged for 16 months in new French. A superb effort. 959973 14% XD 750 mL $55.95 Score: 95/100. June 12, 2009 Full Review
