Darlene Myers CAPS Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Another great value wine from Trapiche. This Malbec is full bodied with a rich deep purple color in the glass. Dark plums, licorice, vanilla and toasty oak combine to make a good wine that goes great with grilled foods.
Peter Neilson rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark rich purple colour. Leather, fruit, smooth tannins. Very dry Not complex. Simple

Trapiche Finca Las Palmas Malbec 2006, Mendoza, Argentina: Made from grapes grown in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, this spicy-black-fruited wine has wonderful depth and concentration of flavor. It was aged 18 months in French oak. A lovely tobacco-infused finish. 1009646 14% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. June 12, 2009  Full Review
