Natalie's Review

Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2006, Mendoza, Argentina: This deeply seductive and concentrated wine, offers dazzling aromas of black cherries, violets, cassis and mocha-infused finish. This winery's name is for the three winds that blow through the Mendoza region of Argentina: Polar, Zonda and Sudestada (Southeast). Malbec, the country's flagship red grape, displays wonderful complexity and concentration without being heavy or tannic. In my Drinks Matcher (www.nataliemaclean.com/matcher), I pair this wine with many meat dishes, but try it with barbecue, especially the traditional Argentine asado for a mind-blowing, palate- loving experience! This wine will be included in the Vintages September release, but you may find it elsewhere before then. 588731 14% XD 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 91/100. June 12, 2009  Full Review
