The mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc is what caught my attention with this wine and I was very curious to try it. Had it at dinner at Grange Vin + Bouffe in old Montreal with tuna tartare, risotto and shrimps and mac 'n cheese with lobster. A very refreshing wine with fruity flavours and a pleasant scent of pear.
Marchesi de Frescobaldi Chardonnay Pinot Bianco 2008, D.O.C., Pomino Bianco, Tuscany, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Year after year, this delicious white from the Frescobaldi family offers great value. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco (a.k.a. Pinot Blanc), it’s made entirely from estate-grown fruit. Featuring aromas of pear, apple and peach. My note: A zesty, refreshing white with grapefruit and lime notes. No oak, lots of mouth-watering acidity, bone-dry. Medium-bodied. 65086 12% XD 750 mL $17.95 Score: 87/100. June 6, 2009 Full Review
