Hauts De Pontet-Canet Alfred Et Gérard Tesseron Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2005, A.C., Pauillac, Second Wine of Château Pontet-Canet, Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Here’s a terrific second wine by a legendary producer. Lovely aromas and flavors of black-berry and pipe tobacco greet the nose and grace the palate, all balanced by fine tannins and crowned with a very pretty finish. It’s a wine to be savored sooner rather than later. While your more age-worthy 2005 Bordeaux sit in the cellar, this Pauillac can give you a taste of this marvelous vintage. My note: Classic Bordeaux with cassis, blackberry and blackcurrant. Full-bodied and richly textured. 90159 13% XD 750 mL $69.00 Score: 90/100. May 23, 2009 Full Review
