Cave Spring Cellars Res Riesling 2007, V.Q.A., Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Evocative of the limestone clay soil its 20-year-old vines are grown in, this estate Riesling commands global respect. Lovely peach, pink grapefruit, floral, and mineral aromas dominate with a hint of pretty petrol. It’s dry, medium-bodied with juicy fruit flavours and a very long, crisp finish. My note: A wine that trumpets its aromas from the glass! Limes, green apples and white flowers, wow. Light- to medium-bodied. Immeninently gulpable. This wine is part of the Vintages Essentials Collection. 286377 11% D 750 mL $17.95 Score: 88/100. April 21, 2009 Full Review
