Natalie's Review

Guicciardini Strozzi Strozzi Ocra 2006, D.O.C., Bolgheri, Il Sangue della Terra, Tuscany, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: The Guicciardini and Storzzi families have been linked to famous names for centuries. You could play six degrees of separation with these fascinating dynasties. The Strozzis were contemporaries and rivals of the legendary Medici clan; the Guicciardinis are related by blood to the woman we know as ‘Mona Lisa’ and by marriage to Winston Churchill. They continue to make wine at one of the finest estates in Tuscany. My note: A mocha-coffee-infused nose with gorgeous layers of black fruit and smoke. Full-bodied with polished tannins. Decant 1-2 hours. Terrific finish. Lots to enjoy here! 123570 13% XD 750 mL  $23.95 Score: 90/100. May 2, 2009  Full Review
