Domaine Maby Grenache 2008, A.C., Rhône, Estate Btld., France: Vintages Wine Panel: Tavel, in the Southern Rhône, is famous for its lively, flavorful rosés. These wines were favored by Louis XIV, and continue to impress today. This ripe, Grenache-centered blend is bursting with attractive red berry fruit, spicy garrigue, and a hint of cranberry, further enlivened by tangy acidity. My note: One of my favorite rosé producers from the Rhone. This lovely, bone-dry blush is bursting with ripe field strawberries and raspberries wrapped in rose petals. It’s a summer day in a glass.
