Natalie's Review

Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Margaret River, Western Australia, Australia: Vintages Wine Panel: The moderate climate and gravelly soils of the Margaret River region are often compared to the famous communes of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. So the refined and elegant quality of Cabernet Sauvignon from this region should come as no surprise. With aromas of cassis, plum, vanilla, leather and mint; and flavors of black fruit, spice and minerals; this dry, medium-bodied wine is a fine ambassador for the area. My note: A sleeper of a wine that surprises and delights with every glass. Classically balanced and structured, this is a terrific wine for when you’re serving steak or lamb but want more fruit power than perhaps Bordeaux can deliver. 995639 14% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 89/100.
