Natalie's Review

Vicar S.A. G7 Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Loncomilla Valley, Chile: Vintages Wine Panel: Pascal Marty, former director of winemaking at the illustrious Baron Philippe de Rothschild in Bordeaux, joined the long-established Pedregal family winery in 2004, and is responsible for optimizing all aspects of quality here. His G7 red wines – a celebration of 7 generations of winemaking expertise – are warm, rich, and fruit-filled blockbusters. My note: This wine could be your new best friend. Accessible aromas of rich dark plums and berries laced with savory bacon fat, underbrush and cedar notes. Full-bodied with a great spine and layers of luscious flavor. Warm finish. 94136 14% D 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 89/100. April 11, 2009  Full Review
