Creekside Estate Winery Viognier Reserve 2007, V.Q.A. St. David's Bench, Niagara, Ontario, Canada: The juice from these grapes was pressed into stainless steel tanks and 2 and 1 year old French barrels. A portion of the wine was barrel-fermented aged to increase complexity while maintain fruit profile and structural balance. The stainless steel component balanced the wood character and provided fresh acidity. Wine was aged 10 months on the lees. An opulent, viscous wine with layers of rich flavor. Redolent of honeysuckle, orange, zest, lime, apricot and almond. Lovely wine. 13% 750 mL $24.95 Score: 91/100. March 24, 2009 Full Review
