Creekside Estate Winery Shiraz 2007, V.Q.A. Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: The final Cuvee was a blend of 80% American, 20% French oak with 30% of the barrels being new wood. Bottled under Stelvin closure. Lots of warm vanilla, oak and black plums on the nose. A core of fleshy ripe black fruit and ground pepper on the palate. Satisfying full-bodied without being to alcoholic. A great quaffer. Closed with a screwcap. Available at the winery. 12% 750 mL $15.95 Score: 88/100. March 24, 2009 Full Review
