Holly Bruns rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Plummy and ripe tasting with leather and tobacco notes, this is a great inexpensive drink that is round on the palate with balanced acidity that makes it a good food wine.

Farnese Sangiovese Abruzzo 2007, Abruzzo, Italy: Opens with dark rich notes of black cherry, sun-dried tomato, tobacco and fresh-turned earth. This medium-bodied, supple wine has vibrant acidity and a plummy heart. 512327 12.50%  750 mL  $7.55 Score: 86/100. March 24, 2009  Full Review
