Marques De Riscal Reserva Tempranillo Graciano Mazuelo 2004, Rioja, Spain: This winery was founded in 1858 and all the vines are 15 years or older. Picking is done by hand and the wine is aged for 26 months in American oak barrels. Dollops of dark fleshy red berries, cedar and smoke. It's tannic so decant 1-2 hours. Riojas are a wonderful change from the usual all-fruit full-bodied reds of the New World: you can explore more subtle and mature aromas like leather and cigar box in this wine. Drink: 2008-2012. 32656 14% 750 mL $24.70 Score: 89/100. March 24, 2009 Full Review
