Natalie's Review

Tapena Garnacha 2007, Tierra de Castilla, Spain: Tapena is crafted from grapes cultivated in Tierra de Castilla in the heartland of Spain. Made from 100% Garnacha (gar-NA-chah), aka Grenache is the most widely planted red grape in Spain. Its lovely color, lively fruit and bright lingering flavors make it one of the best food wines that you can find. A rustic, cedary, underbrush wine that makes you want to go horseback riding (or at least I do). Not fruit-forward but there are dark berries and fruits wrapped in smoky oak. Full-bodied and satisfying. 72553 13%  750 mL  $13.95 Score: 86/100. March 24, 2009  Full Review
