Remo Farina Monte Fante Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 1998, D.O.C. Veneto, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: This exceptional single-vineyard Amarone riserva displays all the strengths of Remo Farina’s regular bottling, but taken to an even more elevated level. The fruit is hand-selected to ensure supreme quality in the finished wine. You can expect the resulting product to be rich and round, with a complex blend of earthy cherry, ginger and stewed-fruit flavors and aromas. My note: Big, black and brooding with dark cherry liqueur and fleshy black raspberries. Full-bodied and incredibly plush and smooth. A finish that will fly you to Italy.
