Grant Burge Nebuchadnezzar Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2004, Barossa, South Australia, Australia: Vintages Wine Panel: This 50/50 blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from Grant Burge is a serious example of what the Aussies can achieve by combining these two titans. The fruit is sourced from estate vineyards on the Barossa Valley floor as well as vineyards high in the Eden Valley. Aged in French oak, it’s intense and complex, featuring rich raspberry, red currant, spice, chocolate, earth and toasted oak characteristics balanced by refined tannins and medium acidity. My note: Tangy, mouth-wateringly ripe tart cherries and plums with some dark spices and cedar box. Full-bodied and plush. 5934 14% D 750 mL $33.95 Score: 92/100. February 28, 2009 Full Review
