Natalie's Review

Camplazens Syrah 2006, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Midi, France: Vintages Wine Panel: French Syrah character. Vanilla, garrigue, blackberry, pepper and nettle leaves. Dry, scrumptious with plenty of rich black fruit and spice replayed on the palate. A nice marriage of New World fruit and European character. Very drinkable tonight with pepper steak or lamb kebabs, but can be cellared 1-3 years. My note: Smoky mocha goodness with fleshy black plums and berries. Fantastic value. 104752 13.50% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 89/100. February 28, 2009 Best Value Red Wine.  Full Review
