Natalie's Review

Clos Bagatelle Cuvée Tradition Syrah Grenache Mourvèdre Carignan 2007, A.C. Saint-Chinian, Estate Btld., Midi, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Classic Midi blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan. This food-friendly wine is dominated by aromas of cherry, fig, dark chocolate, vanilla and plum. At first, it is dry and fruity with a pleasant ripeness, but by the mid-palate, tannins and acids come forward giving the wine a fine structure. Fairly long finish on a good frame. My note: Lifted notes of cherry liqueur, black plums and spice box. Full-bodied, supple and smooth. Delicious and straight-forward. 103655 13% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 87/100.
