Floral notes accompany red and purple fruit, tobacco and warm spice. A slightly smokey finish. Great for the vintage. (ottawwinejournal.com)
Beaumet & Fils, Vign.-Recolt. Domaine Saint Andéol Cairanne Prestige Syrah Blend 2006, AC Côtes du Rhône Villages, Estate Btld, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Very pretty nose of plum preserve, cherries, violets, pepper and a touch of tobacco. Dry and full-flavored with a lush texture, well-integrated tannins, fruit and acidity, and a delicious, medium-long finish. My note: Delivers muscular aromas of zingy black cherry, cedar, cigar box, cranberry, violets, leather and a judicious amount of toasted oak. Full-bodied. Terrific value. Finishes smoky and warm. 104943 15% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. February 14, 2009 Full Review
